Brief Background
The Ebonyi State College of Health Sciences and Technology (EBSCOHSTECH), Ngbo was established in 2007 by Ebonyi State Government under Dr. Sam Ominyi Egwu's administration (as the first Executive Governor of Ebonyi State). The first set of students were admitted into the school in March, 2008, with a temporary administrative offices at Ngbo Court.
The school is located at Okposhi Eshi, Ngbo Community, in Ohaukwu LGA of Ebonyi State. It is situated along Effium Road, at a distance of about 5km from Ezzangbo Junction, opposite Federal Government Girl's College. The Ezzangbo Junction along Abakaliki - Enugu Expressway is about 10km from Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State Capital.
Motto of the School
The motto of the school is
"For the Health of All". This is the philosophy on which the School is built. It is a philosophy which is etched on strong commitment towards the advancement of human health. It is a commitment that focuses on the training and research - the production of resourceful and efficient health professionals, holistically equipped for the realization of the health of all humanity.
