The Ebonyi State College of Health Sciences and Technology (EBSCOHSTECH), Ngbo was established in 2007 by Ebonyi State Government under Dr. Sam Ominyi Egwu's administration (as the first Executive Governor of Ebonyi State). The first set of students were admitted into the school in March, 2008, with a temporary administrative offices at Ngbo Court.

The school is located at Okposhi Eshi, Ngbo Community, in Ohaukwu LGA of Ebonyi State. It is situated along Effium Road, at a distance of about 5km from Ezzangbo Junction, opposite Federal Government Girl's College.
